Two of the very
first ElmerRadios were built by two young men from the neighborhood. Here Matt
and Josh have begun to solder components on the PC board. It didn't take them
very long to master the skill of soldering. Of course, they had Yours Truly,
an experienced solderer, to guide them along.
Matt and Josh proudly show off their finished radios. The
radios both worked the first time. In fact, they were listening to them
when the picture was taken. Congratulations guys!
After a while they politely
ask me to leave them alone, so they could get some work done. It doesn't
take long to get the "hang" of it. Before you know it, you are building
radios like a professional. Your adult assistant is standing by, but he
doesn't get to do much.
